One GOOD Magazine
Sunday, June 10th, 2007Noella over at GOOD Magazine introduced me to their publication as media for people who give a damn. I think that’s pretty accurate: if you subscribe 100% of your money goes to an organization of your choice. I love the idea behind the project and the magazine itself is well designed and executed. For example, the info graphic about Getting to Know the Homeless is superb:
The rows of human icons are smartly manipulated to portray the data; i.e. in one row the gradient indicates ethnicity, in another upside down icons indicate the percentage of homeless with mental disabilities, and so on.
They were kind enough to include my Geo + Info Postcards in the July/August issue. I’m honored to be a part of their publication as I feel the motives behind creating the magazine and the postcards are similar. GOOD indeed!
